Q. How pleasing was that to come in with a 70?

DOUG GHIM: Very pleasing. Obviously, the conditions for our side of the wave are pretty brutal. So just decided to have a good attitude about it. You knew that, if you played well, though, it will give you a chance to be on the top of the leaderboard. A lot of really good players are on my side of the wave. There are a lot of high numbers, and that's just a testament to how difficult it was. So to shoot 2-under, very pleased.

Q. Yesterday was crazy with the wind and the conditions. What were some of the crazy shots you had to deal with during the round?

DOUG GHIM: I was just really pleased I never had to play 17 yesterday after watching all the highlights. I hit some really good shots. I think I was 2-under through four. Made a really good birdie putt on 4. Whenever you have a chance inside 15 feet and you're in the trees and it's not blowing as much, you feel like you have to make it. So to make that putt there on 4.

Just nothing really remarkable. A lot of really good pars, a lot of good par putts, and just kind of stuck around.

Q. You had a good PLAYERS Championship last year. What are some of the experiences that you think you might be able to apply in the next couple of days here?

DOUG GHIM: For sure. It was awesome to watch J.T. win, so like they say, it gets easier every time you get into that position. I'm excited. I know what it will feel like. A lot of familiar faces going into the year. So I am more ready than I was last year, and I'm just really excited to get the opportunity.

Q. With all the start-stop, the weather delays, what do you to in between the time you're waiting? I know you like to be doing stuff. What have you been doing?

DOUG GHIM: I have some family and friends with me this week. My sister's here. My girlfriend's here. I have a team here. So keep it light hearted, play some video games, do whatever. You just have to have a good attitude about it. It's THE PLAYERS Championship. It's one of our favorite tournaments all year.

Someone's got to win. I wish it was me. The only way I'm going to win is have a good attitude. So I'm just going to have the best attitude possible.
