THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. Obviously not the result you wanted, but I imagine you've got to be proud about the fight you put up, especially the first match.
ALEJANDRO FALLA: Yeah, it was a great match. I feel Nicolas played very well. They knew each other pretty well, too.
Nicolas, I know he loves this competition. I think he's going to be winning a lot of these kind of matches anytime soon.
Yeah, is not the best way to finish a day 2-0 down. But we have a great team. USA has so many good players, experienced players, too. They were favorites from the beginning. There's nothing to do about it.
Q. I imagine you still feel pretty good going into the doubles knowing who you have taking the court tomorrow.
ALEJANDRO FALLA: Yeah, I mean, the tie is still alive. If we win the doubles tomorrow, we can win it. We still have a chance to come back. It not going to be easy, but we're going to try our best.
Q. What is the key to your country's great success in Davis Cup over the years?
ALEJANDRO FALLA: I mean, I think, as Mardy said earlier, the passion we play in every match makes a big difference. Davis Cup is always different. Head-to-heads is not so important. Everyone goes out there and give their best. We are used to do that in every single match we play.
I think the passion is the key for us.
Q. What makes Taylor so tough as a player?
ALEJANDRO GONZALEZ: Well, today I feel like no holes. I feel that I was serving pretty good, like always. I thought I will have chances with my serve here, with the circumstances, with the altitude, a little bit faster. Every time I made a good serve, the guy was returning also pretty well. I feel I have, like, nowhere to play.
He was also solid from the back. The speed of the ball, it was heavy. I mean, the guy is playing good. He's in a good position and he's getting better. Today I noticed that. I feel it.
