Doha, Qatar
Flash Interview
Q. Tell us how you're feeling. Welcome to Doha.
ONS JABEUR: I feel like home, to be honest. It's amazing to be back. You know, always the welcoming here makes me want to win every match. I hope one day I can really achieve the dream of lifting the title here.
Q. Are you looking forward to embracing the crowd here? What are you most excited about?
ONS JABEUR: Yeah, I feel like I told all Tunisians here or Arab crowd to be around here to support me (smiling). Hopefully I can be able to win here, and I cannot wait to play in front of the crazy crowd really.
Q. What are your thoughts on the conditions here?
ONS JABEUR: I mean, for now I was practicing, everything was great. I think accommodation, the food, everything is high level.
To be honest, I think most of also the players they think that way. The conditions here are amazing. It can only make you play better. I feel like we are very, very spoiled here, and hopefully I can enjoy these conditions until the end of the week.
Q. What have you been focusing on in particular in terms of your preparation?
ONS JABEUR: I mean, for now, I came yesterday so I'm trying to get used to the courts, get used to the conditions, the balls. For me, the couple of years I played really good here, so I'm trying to really go in that level and continue playing the way I play, mixing up the balls and trying to be more aggressive on the court.
Q. Any reflections from last week in Dubai?
ONS JABEUR: Very positive week, you know. To be honest, coming back from an injury is never easy, so to be able to win two important matches is great.
Not really happy with the last match, but, you know, it's not easy to play Halep. I can only learn from these losses and hopefully I can continue and be better this week.
