Royal Greens Golf and Country Club
Quick Quotes
ADRI ARNAUS: The velocity of the wind, yeah, it was tricky because I would say that the greens are a bit more crispier than the other days. You can tell that they are drying out. Already by the 1st hole we could tell the rough was getting also a bit dried.
So, yeah, I think it's a little bit tougher than yesterday. The pin positions were quite tough, especially the one on 11. So, yeah, it was a good test, and we enjoyed it.
Q. Adri, you have got a very special relationship with this entire region. You live in Dubai. You've been living in Dubai for some time. Your biggest win was in Dubai at Ras Al Khaimah, and you're also the ambassador as well. Just seems like a lot of things coming together again tomorrow?
ADRI ARNAUS: Yeah, well, I originally moved to a new apartment in Dubai, and I am enjoying having my own place there and settling down there. It's been, I think, a key moment for me even though it was a bit stressful. I think it's a big decision for me to come over here in the winter months.
I really enjoy everything around here, especially it suits my eye, the desert golf in general, either in Dubai or here. So, yeah, at the end of the day, I enjoy playing on these kind of courses. Yeah, for tomorrow, just kind of enjoy the game.
Q. Do you find yourself going back to the room and checking the scores at Al Hamra this week?
ADRI ARNAUS: Yeah, I've been giving an eye for sure. It's a tournament or a place that I have a special relationship, of course. I don't think it's playing as tough as it did back a few years ago. But, yeah, we'll see next week how it plays. Definitely there are a few holes that I have good memories.
Q. You'll be back there next weekend?
ADRI ARNAUS: Yeah, it seems like it. Whenever they change Qatar from the schedule and they put that one in, I said, yeah, I really want to play that again for sure.
Q. What did you do particularly well today?
ADRI ARNAUS: I just think that day by day we get the hang of how the course is playing, the same wind as yesterday, as far as velocity and direction. So we're already knowing what to do here and there. It's just sticking to the game plan and really give yourself the best look as you can and be in the right position.
You know, when it comes to the putts, it's not that easy to get the line right, as you can imagine.
Q. What shots have helped you the most?
ADRI ARNAUS: I've been really working on keeping such a low flight on some of the shots coming into the green, and I think it has paid off on a few shots today, as well as during the week. So, yeah, I real enjoyed hitting those low ones out there.
Q. Looking ahead to tomorrow, what's the mindset? How do you feel going into it? Is there anything special that you think about?
ADRI ARNAUS: Not much. I think it's going to be very important for me to come out rested and come out fresh because it takes a lot out of us being out there.
So, yeah, just coming out there especially calm, sticking to my game plan, but at the same time be aggressive on the back nine because there's a few opportunities that you can take advantage of. And on the holes that are a little bit tougher, just trying to play smart.
