Q. Seven birdies and a bogey. Something went right today.
PAUL CASEY: You know what the difference is, I've not done a very good job of -- there's momentum. There's moments when a round can -- a fork in the road, kind of to be cheesy. But I've not really -- when I've had an important par save, I've not really been making those putts or pulling off the shot. Today that was the difference.
I actually left one in the bunker on No. 8, splashed down, had about a 10-footer, 12-footer for bogey. I made it. So I stayed 1-under. Then birdied 11, birdied 12. I birdied, you can argue, three very difficult holes -- 11, 12, 13.
I chipped in on 11. Hit a great drive, great second shot to 12 to eight feet, and rolled it in. 13, actually went with a 3-wood because it's so windy, hit a gap wedge into the hole.
So suddenly those holes are so dangerous the round is over.
Q. It's interesting that hole came, that fork in the road moment was in the wind.
PAUL CASEY: Yeah, but that was really the difference. And then kicked on from there.
Q. What's your plan for tomorrow?
PAUL CASEY: The same. Or a 63 is better.
