Quick Quotes
Q. I wanted to ask you about, I heard that making a hole-in-one at number 7 at Pebble is one of your greatest golf memories. Talk to me a little bit about that.
DAVID LIPSKY: Yeah, so I was honestly I don't remember the year, I think it was 2001 or 2002. I was 13 or 14. I had just played a U.S. Junior Am qualifier and I just missed out. And it was around my birthday and as a surprise my dad got me a round at Pebble.
And so we were driving down from the Bay Area, stopped at the course, he surprised me. Got put on the tee pretty much straight away and I was playing with an, I remember, a Giants relief pitcher, just me and him, I don't know how it happened.
And hit a little sand wedge on 7 and it went a little past the hole and spun back in and first hole-in-one ever.
Q. What was your reaction?
DAVID LIPSKY: More shock and disbelief than anything. Couldn't believe I did it. But, yeah, it was a special moment. Remember it for the rest of my life.
Q. What were the conditions like that day?
DAVID LIPSKY: Beautiful. It was just like how it is now. A little bit warmer, but still perfect.
Q. Have you how many have you had since then?
DAVID LIPSKY: One.
Q. One since then?
DAVID LIPSKY: Yeah, so it's been a little over 20 years and I've had one since then.
Q. Do you remember where was that one?
DAVID LIPSKY: The other one was a Korn Ferry event in a practice round. It was 2013.
Q. Who was the relief pitcher?
DAVID LIPSKY: I don't remember.
Q. What was his reaction?
DAVID LIPSKY: He was in shock, yeah. He was so pumped, he was so happy for me. I remember -- I think my dad still has the scorecard that with the 1 on it and the pitcher signed it.
Q. Did you get a photo or anything?
DAVID LIPSKY: Yeah, I don't know where it is.
