Q. Lexi Thompson, 5-under 67 today. Hard to feel like you didn't leave a couple out there, but you're right in the hunt here. Can you assess the day?

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, it was overall a very solid day. Hit it well. Made some good putts, especially the beginning of the back nine. Hung in strong, so hopefully take that into tomorrow.

Q. Walk us throughout four birdies in a row.

LEXI THOMPSON: Where were they?

Q. 9 through 12.

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, 9, par-5, I hit a 3-wood and then a 4-iron up by the green; hit a putt through the rough because it was a little sketchy lie and hit it up to tap-in.

Then 10 I hit a 2-iron off the tee and hit a wedge up to about ten feet and made it.

Next hole I hit another 2-iron off the tee and hit about a 9-iron to about 15, 18 feet.

Next hole, another par-5, I hit driver, 3-wood in greenside bunker and hit it up to about four feet.

Q. Ball striking has been great this week.

LEXI THOMPSON: Thanks.

Q. We've got a little bit of a different grass than people are playing off this week. How has the adjustment been to the new grass?

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, it's been a bit of an adjustment. I'm used to bermuda, but the course is in great shape. It's tight around the greens. The grass is extremely tight.

So you can get some iffy lies, but overall the golf course is in great shape. Greens are rolling well. A little bit of an adjustment, But as long as my divots don't get stuck in the ground, I'm okay.

Q. Just your thoughts on Leona's round today, playing with her.

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, I played with her obviously last two days. Great player. I've played with her quite a bit, even in junior golf, and we all know the talent she has. She played an amazing round of golf today again in the wind. It's definitely fun to watch, feeding off each other, making birdies on the out there.

So we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Q. And what is your mindset going into tomorrow, last round?

LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, well, I'm quite a few back, but just go out there, play like I have the last two days, stick to my game plan, focus on one shot at a time, doing my routine, and just having a good time out there.

I feel like I've had a good attitude this week and just have a good time and go for those birdies.
