Q. Obviously you're right in the mix for the weekend; what are the things you did really well today?

CAMERON SMITH: Just struck the ball well, gave myself lots of opportunities. Yeah, didn't quite putt it -- I guess I felt like I was putting it good, the putts just weren't dropping like I wish they had.

Q. What are the things you need to do well on this course? You've now had a look at it a couple of rounds heading into the weekend.

CAMERON SMITH: You just need to hit it good off the tee. There's plenty of opportunities, plenty of wedges, and just be real patient with it. The greens were nice this morning. Yeah, so just be patient with the golf course. It's got plenty of birdies.

Q. You seem to play well in wind. What are the keys to doing that, and do you enjoy the challenge of different conditions, or do you quite like it flat?

CAMERON SMITH: No, I like it windy. I grew up in the wind. Being from Australia, it's something you kind of have to get used to pretty quick. Yeah, you've just got to strike the ball well. You've just got to hit it out of the middle and judge your wind.

Q. Thoughts on just the tournament so far, the field. A few Australians here, lots of Asian players, Middle East players, big U.S. players. What are your thoughts so far on it?

CAMERON SMITH: Yeah, it's a great tournament. I've really loved my week here so far. The course is great. The hospitality has been great. Yeah, can't wait for the weekend.
