Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Hee Young Park. I want to talk about your front nine first. What was going through your mind as you stepped onto Crown Colony today, and how did you rebound after that double bogey?
HEE YOUNG PARK: Well, my front nine was really calm, nice weather, so really easy to get through. I had a really good speed with the putting and really confident with the short putting, so I wasn't worry about.
But then back nine it got little blow wind, then a little bit of pressure hit little more farther or keep it low.
Then my body get a little bit of too much, you know, pressure and couple time went left.
So that was one of the shot went into the water, tee shot, and...
Q. Is that the tee shot on 16?
HEE YOUNG PARK: Yeah, then I didn't do very well make up.
Then after that I trust my shot and keep it low, and luckily after double I made it three times a row off the green, chip it in or put it in the -- you know, long putt, put it in.
So it was great finish.
Q. After that double bogey, how did you reset yourself? Were you just saying, That hole is over with; move onto the next one?
HEE YOUNG PARK: I thought I'm not going to die so this is not the end; don't worry about this little double. You know, still long to go.
So I wasn't worry about any double. It could be, you know, couple times chance coming up, you know, some trouble shots, so that was one of them.
So I didn't worry about it.
Q. Then your three straight birdies you said; then being able to close with another one on 18. How did it feel to end the round like that?
HEE YOUNG PARK: After couple dropped off the green so I got so much confidence, so just visualize. Then my end of couple holes looks like this triple bigger, so, you know, didn't even look. Just keep trust my routine and keep the rhythm simple.
That was really what worked out.
Q. When you talked about earlier a long putt for birdie, which hole that was on?
HEE YOUNG PARK: That was after double, so...
Q. So 14?
HEE YOUNG PARK: 14.
Q. And how long was that?
HEE YOUNG PARK: Just 20 yard.
Q. And what did that do for your confidence as you finished out this round?
HEE YOUNG PARK: So it was really good feeling because I was really in the zone, so I didn't really, you know, worry about any pressure, anything. Just keep it flow with the golf and the rhythm.
And I pairing other girls, it was really nice girls, too, so I was really comfortable and enjoyed it.
Q. What do you like most about Crown Colony Golf Club? It's a new golf club for everyone this week, but what have you picked up on in your first competitive round?
HEE YOUNG PARK: With the wind probably driver, but this week for sure with the really sneaky, fast greens, so I must say putting, you know, putter is most number one.
Q. Putter will definitely get you pretty low you think?
HEE YOUNG PARK: Yeah.
Q. Absolutely. Now, what will you take away from today's round as you head into tomorrow?
HEE YOUNG PARK: My tee time will be afternoon, so I will preparing another like windy day probably. Keep practice with the trajectory low, medium, high shot on the range a little bit work, then I should be good to go.
