THE MODERATOR: That's the kind of scoreline that you like to have late at night. How did you feel out on the court?

SIMONA HALEP: Well, yeah, definitely it was a great match. I felt great. I think I played very good level of tennis.

I was waiting all day to play this match, and was not easy, but I'm really happy and pleased with the way I played.

THE MODERATOR: Questions?

Q. Would you say that was the best that you have played this year?

SIMONA HALEP: Yeah, I can say that. Yeah, I played well, and I felt, like, very confident on court. I felt great, everything.

Q. Looking ahead to facing Kovinic in the next round, can you talk about -- yeah, you guys have I believe played before.

SIMONA HALEP: 2016, I just heard. Yeah, long time, so I don't have that good memory to remember so I will check out some videos tomorrow and I will have an idea for the next day.
