Q. I want to talk about your golf but before we get there there's a lot of attention on the 'stache. How much early do you have to get up to groom it and what's the angle?

ERIK VAN ROOYEN: There's no end goal. It has a life of its own right now and it kind of tells me what to do -- no, I'm kidding.

Yeah, it takes more work than you think. I've got a pair of scissors, the brush, the whole works. I need an extra ten minutes in the morning.

Q. Let's talk about the golf. A 67 today, how pleased are with you your performance so far?

ERIK VAN ROOYEN: Very pleased, very clean. Besides that one bunker shot on 8, very, very good golf, so extremely pleased.

Q. How has life changed adapting to the fact that you are a global player now with victories on both the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour?

ERIK VAN ROOYEN: I think it's fantastic. It's something I've always wanted to do as a kid, play here, play Mainland Europe, play in the US. Got the best of both, really, so I'm a happy man.

Q. This is an elevated event, a Rolex Series Event now. What would it mean to have a chance come Sunday afternoon?

ERIK VAN ROOYEN: It's what we play for, right, to be in contention, especially in these Rolex events. I'm happy that the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic is one as well. Can't wait for Sunday.
