Quick Quotes
Q. Currently the lowest score of the day, you must be pleased with that performance?
SHARMA SHUBHANKAR: I'm really happy. Stroked the ball really good, especially after making that double-bogey on 6. I hit it really good after that. Gave myself a lot of opportunities and converted a few, so very pleased with the day's work.
Q. You mentioned the double bogey, and then an eagle comes in. How important is that resilience on Yas Links, and how do you feel your part of that game has played out this week?
SHARMA SHUBHANKAR: I feel like it's just a game of patience out here. With the high wind out here, anything is possible and the back nine is really strong here.
When that double happened, I just hit a bad tee shot, except for that I played the hole pretty good. You've just got to give yourself perspective every time you make those errors and try and give yourself as many opportunities as possible, and that's been working for me this week, and yesterday was obviously a true test of patience.
Q. You seem relaxed and in great form this week. Have there been any significant changes coming into the season?
SHARMA SHUBHANKAR: I went back home last year, that's the only change I made because I was on Tour for six months and I was really tired, so I had to go back home and just chilled with my friends, basically and see all them and re-energise. That's all I've done. I haven't changed my swing. I just feel more energetic and healthy now that the season has started.
Q. Looking for your first win since the Maybank in 2018. What will be the key strategy going into tomorrow?
SHARMA SHUBHANKAR: You said it, patience. It's all a game of patience. Tomorrow will be a long day and I'm sure it will be windy as well. You just have to keep your energies up and keep giving yourself birdie opportunities to the end.
