Quick Quotes
Q. It's a new season, new era, the DP World Tour, how much are you looking forward to getting back into competitive golf in Abu Dhabi?
ADAM SCOTT: It's been a long time since I've played on the European, now DP World Tour, and it's nice to be back out here in the Middle East at this time of the year out of the cold and at a new venue here at Yas. It's going to be a great week. The course is fantastic and I'm looking to get the year off to a hot start.
Q. You've played this tournament but the old venue. What challenge will the course be this week?
ADAM SCOTT: The biggest challenge is making enough birdies. It's in such good shape but it's a little soft and I feel like the scoring is going to be good. Hopefully the wind blows and that will balance out the challenge a little bit. But big challenges are going to be making enough birdies.
Q. You got your first taste of Rolex Serie.
S Events at the BMW last season. What's it like to play in these Rolex Series Events?
ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, the BMW last year at Wentworth was one of the highlights of my year. It had been a while since I played that championship at Wentworth, and it's always been a great atmosphere. But it was incredible last year. IT was one of the tournaments of the year for me. Looking forward now to playing these Rolex Series Events in the Middle East.
Q. Any resolutions you've set for yourself this year to try and aim for?
ADAM SCOTT: I've worked really hard on many things in the game, and things that affect my game around me and having that balance right, and I think just staying really positive, there's obviously been so many challenges for everyone the last few years, and not kind of letting that get you down and just remember that every time you get to the golf course is a great opportunity.
Q. Reflect on last year as a whole. Looking to change anything to get back into the positive ways?
ADAM SCOTT: Yeah, I have changed. And it was a frustrating year, and that's following on what I was saying, getting a better balance with the circumstances around the world, and a big change for me is joining the DP World Tour, starting the year here.
It's been a lot of years since I played in the Middle East but I had some success winning in this region a couple of times in the past, so change in schedule, a fresh start, it all feels really good for me.
