THE MODERATOR: Liam, I'm sure you're disappointed. Can you reflect on the evening's matches, please.

LIAM BROADY: Yeah. Firstly, I really enjoyed the day. I thought all the boys left it all out there. At the end of the day, regardless of the results that's all you can ask for, especially when playing for your country.

We didn't get the result we wanted overall, but, you know, sometimes tennis works that way. It's a lottery. The guys on the other side of the court want to win as badly as you do. No one will feel the losses as bad as we do, but we got to pick ourselves up and go again in two days and try and get through the group.

Q. It's all left on this last match against USA, everyone is 1-1, so it's quite a tight group. Still everything to play for.

LIAM BROADY: Yeah, I think that's kind of the beauty of the groups is the way they scored, everything to play for on the last day. Obviously, you know, we checked, it goes down to head to head, and then I guess matches, sets, games. I think, you know, at the end of the day we've got to try to win every match we can against the U.S., go through 3-nil and see where the chips lie after that. You can only take care of what you can take care of at the end of the day. They're the matches that we're playing. We can't keep track of the other ones.

We'll go out there and do our best to beat the U.S. and fingers crossed that will be enough.

Q. Dan, can you just talk about your match, it was another near flawless performance from yourself. Just how you felt on the court.

DAN EVANS: Yeah, it was a good match, yeah. I played well, but yeah, it's not about me right now. It's about, yeah, you know, we didn't get it done as a team. We've got to, like as Broady said, we've got to get ourselves up for our next match. We have to dust ourselves down, have a good practice tomorrow, and get going again. You know, we can still go through. That's the important thing right now.

Q. On a bigger issue that's come out today, the news that Novak Djokovic has got a medical exemption into the Australian Open. I'll just ask Jamie or Cam, are they surprised by the news?

JAMIE MURRAY: I mean, I don't know what to say about that really. I mean, you know, I think if it was me that wasn't vaccinated I wouldn't be getting an exemption, and that's... You know, but well done to him for getting clear to come to Australia and compete.

Q. Sounds like you don't think it's very fair then.

JAMIE MURRAY: Well, it's whatever you want to say. That's the situation.

LIAM BROADY: At the end of the day you kind of have to trust that he does has a valid reason for the medical exemption. That's all you can say about it, really, isn't it?
