THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. What do you think has been your best results, your best satisfaction this year if you go back and look?
DOMINIK KOEPFER: Yeah, I think just overall playing the Grand Slams for the first time, or second time now, four slams in a year. Making a third round at two of them is definitely big.
I think I can add to some consistency. Obviously the Murray match in Paris was a highlight. The crowd was crazy, super loud, packed stadium. There's a lot of ups.
Yeah, it's a tough year for everyone. Thankful that we could play, like, throughout the pandemic, were able to travel as much. Sometimes it's a little tiring, but still appreciate traveling and playing the sport we love.
Yeah, I think I can build on this year and add a little consistency, then I think I'm on a good way to work my way up in the rankings.
Q. About the Davis Cup, it's 28 years that Germany doesn't reach a final. How do you explain it? You have been always a powerful nation in terms of tennis tournaments, many good players.
DOMINIK KOEPFER: Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of good teams. It's not easy. As you can see this week, a lot of teams got upset early on. France is always good. Lost in the group stage. We beat England with two top-20 players. The new format definitely helps the lower-ranked teams to win matches against the big dogs.
Yeah, I mean, making the semis is a big success for us. Hopefully in the following years we can get Zverev to play with us and we have a legit shot to win the finals and win the Davis Cup. We're still in it.
Hopefully Struffy can get it done today and we'll see what happens in the doubles.
Q. Do you have any chance that you can persuade Zverev to change his mind and play (indiscernible)?
DOMINIK KOEPFER: Yeah, for sure it would be nice to have him here. He's a great guy. We all get along great. All the German guys get along great with him.
Yeah, it's a tough timing. He's playing the ATP Tour Finals in Turin, has to play here. He has no time off. It's a problem for all of us. It's a problem in tennis that there is no time you can take off. You play all year round, you have five days where you can take off. It's hard on your body. Sometimes you have to listen to your body.
Hopefully in the next years he decides to play and we can influence what he is thinking. Yeah, we would love to have him on the team.
