THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. Must be disappointing to lose such a close match like that. What positives or confidence does this give you for next year?

ELIAS YMER: Obviously it was a very good match. I think I gave it all. I was mentally competing very well. I'm proud of that. Of course, you always want to win.

As I said, when you get to the tiebreak in the third set, it's almost like a lottery: anything can happen.

Game-wise I think it was a good match. Of course, I mean, Andrey has produced good tennis this year. I cannot sit here and say he is not a good player.

But I still don't want to say I'm proud because I feel like I have the level to beat him. Of course, I'm going to watch the match again and see what I can do different. I would not say I'm proud because in the end I lost. But I'm proud of my mental (indiscernible).

Q. Can you explain the game plan. You were hitting your forehand, hit so many winners during the match.

ELIAS YMER: No, I think that's something Robin and me, we're working on these two weeks every day. Like he really believes when I'm going for it, I can play with anyone. That's what he keeps telling me: Elias, really trust your game because your game is huge. Sometimes I feel like I'm not trusting it fully.

When I do, I know I can hit, as you said, winners from everywhere. It's about going for it more often.

I think one game in the third set was amazing. I was hitting, like, three winners right away. I think Robin is helping me a lot with, like, keep going for it, go, play aggressive, play aggressive. That's his mindset all the time, play aggressive.

I think it's influenced me very well.

Q. Can you reflect on your experiences here at the Davis Cup Final. I guess you were the underdogs, but showing you have great potential.

ELIAS YMER: No, I said our goal, like Robin, he said, We want to make the quarterfinal. I think we really got together, everyone. We showed everyone that Sweden has gotten a lot of shit, like Swedish tennis sucks, Swedish tennis sucks all the time.

I feel like now, me, Mikael, our team is a bit like stronger. I don't think anyone thinks they can beat Sweden right away. Me on the second singles, Mikael on the first singles. Of course we could have better ranking. I think we're both better players than our ranking.

I think we're getting more respect from other countries. We are top eight. You cannot take that away. It was a long time ago Sweden even made a quarterfinal in Davis Cup.

I would say we're climbing the right way.
