Quick Quotes
Q. All right, here with Bailey Tardy. Probably not as low as you wanted to go today, but you had a pretty decent highlight on the card. Take us through the eagle.
BAILEY TARDY: Yeah, I didn't play too great on the front nine and just put myself out of play on my tee shots, and so just kind of tee'd it up on the back nine thinking it was a new nine.
And, yeah, I hit a good drive - well, not really - on 11, but I was in the fairway, which was superb at that point of the round.
Yeah, I had like a 125 yards, like flighted a pitching wedge. Had about ten paces behind the pin and spun back into the hole.
Yeah, it was kind of cool. It was fun. Definitely the turning point of my round. Eagled there and then made two birdies on the back, so pretty nice going 3-over, 4-under on my nines.
Q. Such a tough golf course out here. You mentioned having to go work on some driving. How tricky is it off the to keep the ball in play?
BAILEY TARDY: You know, it's hard. The golf course is a lot harder if you're not playing from the fairway, so you just got to commit to your lines and just take a good swing at it.
I didn't do that at all today, and I don't know if it was nerves or just was in my head more than I needed to be.
So, yeah, just going to go hit some drives and straighten it out.
Q. And just last question: Looking ahead to tomorrow, what is your game plan for the Falls course?
BAILEY TARDY: You know, just to stick to my original game plan. Just don't get too high, don't get too low on myself. Like I could have been pretty beaten up on myself after eight holes being 3-over par. I think I was 3-over. Yeah, I think I was 3-over.
But just kind of staying level-headed, and, I mean, this is a long two weeks, so one bad hole isn't going to really put you out of it.
Just, I mean, keep grinding.
