THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.

Q. You said afterwards it was one of the best moments of your career. Explain the significance of the moment.

NINO SERDARUSIC: Yeah, I mean, it's my first official match for Croatia. All your career you play for yourself, you play singles matches, but this is the first time I felt on my skin how it feels.

To win for the team, for the country, yeah, it's really the best moment of my career I can say for sure.

Q. When did you find out you were going to be playing?

NINO SERDARUSIC: The captain decided yesterday night. We had a small team talk. He decided that I will start today alongside Marin, yeah, probably to give me a chance to play my debut here.

Turned out a great, great choice from him and a great choice for me also.

Q. How did you feel about your performance?

NINO SERDARUSIC: I felt very solid, yeah. I thought I was going to be a little bit more nervous. When we stepped out on the court, I was telling myself just to focus on myself, not to think about it that I'm playing for the team, just to play for myself, focus on every point.

Q. That's booked Croatia's spot in the quarterfinals. Must feel good to have a match like this under your belt playing in the knockout stages of this competition?

NINO SERDARUSIC: For sure. First of all, I'm happy that I won so Marin has a clear mind going into his match. Much easier for him that we are already through. But, yeah, the next matches we'll see. It's all in the captain, the team, whoever plays. We are really here for each other and breathing as a team.

Q. We heard you pay tribute to the Croatian fans afterwards. Have you played in an atmosphere like this?

NINO SERDARUSIC: No, I haven't. In Zagreb, against India, we had pretty big fans there also. It was really nice. Cheering your name every point. Also sometimes making eye contact with them. It's really nice, really amazing.
