MAHUT-RINDERKNECH/Salisbury-Skupski
6-1, 6-4
Great Britain - 2
France - 1
THE MODERATOR: Sebastien, you didn't win the tie but you did the doubles match. Talk about how the day went.
SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN: The day start really early. We play at 10 a.m. It's not the best time to start a tie or a match, to be honest.
I'm really proud of the two players in singles, Adrian and Arthur. They gave everything on the court. We had, like, two really good players against, Evans and Norrie, who did a really good year.
For the doubles, they did really well. They didn't play many times together, but they matched very well. I'm really proud of the team effort. Unfortunately we didn't win the tie.
Q. Arthur, your debut at the Davis Cup. One win, one loss. Talk about your experience.
ARTHUR RINDERKNECH: First of all, it's such a great experience to be a part of this team. I think we really maximized everything we had with every single guy in the team. I think the chemistry was really good. That gave us some chances today.
Of course, we had two really, really solid singles players in front of us, so that didn't help us. But we had some shots. Could have gone a little better way.
Of course, really happy to finish and having a chance to play in doubles with Nicolas, such a good player. Really happy about having these chances and winning it.
