Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Su Oh who won the third Lamborghini of the week with the hole-in-one on the 12th hole. Just take us through that golf shot and your reaction after?
SU OH: Yeah, it was kind of an awkward number actually. You can never really tell where the wind is on that hole. I was like, must be a little bit downwind.
I could have possibly smashed an 8 if it was a bit warmer; I hit a smooth 7. Haven't really been hitting great shots on that hole, but just sort of kind of suited my shape, like a high draw on it.
I was like, oh, I hit it. Then I was like, oh, that felt pretty good. Looks pretty good. Stay good. It went in. (Laughter.)
Q. What were the emotions when it went in?
SU OH: I was like, Oh, my goodness. If it was like a wedge or like, oh, let's try and hole it, but it was such a tucked pin you're just kind of trying to get it on the right shelf.
But, yeah, I was like, Let's just hit like a shot that's like maybe 10 feet right of the pin so you have like an easier putt.
Then when I hit it I was like, oh, my God. Go in the hole.
Q. Along with the keys and a two-year lease, you do get to donate $20,000 to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
SU OH: Yea, uh-huh.
Q. What does it mean for you to be able to do something like that for such a charitable organization?
SU OH: I mean, I've been actually kind of lucky that this was my second hole-in-one. I thought it was 10,000, but I guess they put it up to 20,000, which is amazing.
Yeah, I mean, I've met one of the girls at CME couple years ago who has been through that, and it was like just amazing what they do. I'm sure it's very tricky for people in that situation.
I'm glad -- well, you know, to be able to help in some way. I think it's pretty -- it's very cool what St. Jude is doing.
Q. How many ones have you made in your career?
SU OH: I think that's like my seventh one; first one with a car.
Q. Have you won anything else?
SU OH: No. We get Acer tablets through the LPGA, so actually got mine this week for the one I made in San Francisco, which was a while ago.
But I guess I win another one. Couple more tablets. My parents love it. I'll take them.
But, yeah, I mean, I was so close to getting a car in Korea. It was like really nice cars there as well. I was so bummed. But then the 12th is a pretty tricky hole, so, you know, it's pretty cool.
Q. What's the nicest car you've ever driven?
SU OH: Probably just a Mercedes. Like a normal, regular car.
Q. Nothing like this, nothing sporty?
SU OH: Nothing like a Lamborghini, no. I always see one and I'm like, wow, that's really cool.
You know, I never thought of -- it's not the most practical car I feel like. You know, I think because -- I mean, if I had a car and then I buy a second one that would be pretty cool, but I would have to -- but just me and my golf clubs in that car, but that's all right.
I'm not going to be shuttling people around. Just be me and my golf clubs.
Q. What do you normally drive?
SU OH: I actually don't even have a car. In Australia, like I just use my parents car. Yeah, I have a Volkswagon CC. I'll claim it as my car. My parents had it they've got a few cars, and so I was like, I'm going to borrow it while I'm home. I would actually love it if I could take it to Australia, but I don't think that's going to work.
Q. You don't have a car in America?
SU OH: No, I don't have a place here. I just rent.
Q. You just rent?
SU OH: Yeah. But we got a nice deal at National, and Hannah, we're sharing a car and got an Audi Q5.
Q. Who has an Audi Q5? Hannah does?
SU OH: As a rental car. Yeah, it's like our souped up rental car. Now I've got one on top of her. Can't beat a Lambo, so...
Hopefully I can take it for a spin.
Q. Yeah, I think you get to go up there and drive it around.
SU OH: Yep, my first stick shift. Wish me luck. Hope they have got good insurance.
Q. Have you thought of a color?
SU OH: I really like the black with the black tint. Just all blacked out. But blue would be my second.
