Q. How nice are those days when you can fight and still look at the leaderboard later on and know that you're only one shot back?

LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I felt like I played nice. Didn't hold putts like I did yesterday; hit some really good approach shots and didn't quite take advantage.

Hit two bad drives on 18 and 2 which cost me into the fairway bunkers. Stayed as patient as I could, and it was nice to pick up two on the last four holes to finish off strong.

Q. Obviously you've learned from a lot of the positions you've been in near the top of the leaderboard this year, but is this one you're comfortable being within striking distance?

LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I think -- I haven't looked at the scores, but I'm assuming it's pretty bunched up there. I think it's going to be probably a shootout at the weekend. If that's kind of the case, just trying to make as many birdies as you can and keep your foot down, see where it stands at the end of the weekend.
