Quick Quotes
Q. Rianne, thank you so much for joining us. 3-under par here in the third round of the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific, 5-under par total. Are you happy with your round today?
RIANNE MALIXI: Yes, definitely better than the past two days. I've been visualizing better putts today. Mental game was a lot better too.
Q. The putts and the visualizing of the lines, is that something that you've been working on?
RIANNE MALIXI: Yes. I talked about this with my coach yesterday and took some putting tips.
Q. So you must be very happy you're seeing the hard work paying off today?
RIANNE MALIXI: Yes.
Q. Now, talk to us about your round. What was a key moment, do you think, as a highlight?
RIANNE MALIXI: Well, on the 1st hole, I actually went short. I went in the bunker, used a 9-iron, then hit it out of the bunker and had around a pin and a half left. I saved that par. I think that's one putt, one shot that made it all possible for me today.
Q. So you felt like that gave you some nice momentum for the rest of the round?
RIANNE MALIXI: Yes.
Q. Now, the birdies, which was the one that you think was the most memorable?
RIANNE MALIXI: The most memorable was the 2nd hole. It's a par-5. I hit mine close for five feet, but it was a left to-right putt. It was one of my weak spots in putting, so I think that's one of my memorable things.
Q. I believe you're only 14 years of age.
RIANNE MALIXI: Yes.
Q. I think that makes you the equal youngest player in the field. Do you feel like it's very positive to see you playing such great golf against much older and more experienced players?
RIANNE MALIXI: Well, I've been used to playing a lot of older players. Since I was 11, I've been upgraded to 15 to 18 girls by my dad. It's part of my training. So it's really an honour to play here in this tournament.
