Q. Kelsey, thank you so much for joining us. 3-under to begin the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific. Happy with your round out there today?

KELSEY BENNETT: Yes, most definitely. It was good just to set a bit of a bar for myself. So, definitely.

Q. Talk to us about the round and perhaps any moments that stand out as highlights.

KELSEY BENNETT: I started off nearly running late to the tee, so it wasn't a great start. Then I ended up having a double on the third hole. I teed off 10, so the 12th hole. I managed to bring it back and just didn't have any bogeys. Just had a few birdies and kept myself going, kept myself steady.

Q. What happened this morning? Was it a missed alarm or too long at breakfast?

KELSEY BENNETT: I don't know. I had plenty of time. I was just in my own world on the putting green. I was just not focusing on where to be, which is silly, but I got there in time.

Q. How close was it?

KELSEY BENNETT: On the minute. I got there, pulled my driver out, and I teed off. He called my name first, and that was it.

Q. Now, you said that you had the double there on the 12th. How hard is it to, I guess, when things don't start great, to turn it back around?

KELSEY BENNETT: Sorry, thinking about it, it was the 13th. It's not too bad. I just get myself in it and thought it's a marathon, not a race, so like a sprint. So I thought, just take it easy, no bogeys for the rest of it. A few birdies, and you'll be back in it.

Q. We touched on the low lights of the day. Tell us about a highlight.

KELSEY BENNETT: I don't know, a few birdies, which was good. I birdied the 8th hole coming in, so I was happy with that. I was 2-under, and I did see the leaderboard on the 8th hole, and I had like a six-footer for birdie. I thought, I definitely need to hole this one. So it was good motivation.

Q. Three back from the lead after the first round, but right up in the mix there. Feeling confident heading into the next few days?

KELSEY BENNETT: Yes, most definitely. Hopefully a bit of an earlier tee time tomorrow and I'll miss some of this heat in the afternoon. But definitely feeling confident.
