Quick Quotes
Q. Kelsey, welcome to Abu Dhabi and the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific. Can you tell us how you're feeling to be here.
KELSEY BENNETT: Absolutely stoked to be here. I didn't think I was going to be able to go, due to overseas issues. So it is an honour to be representing Australia here.
Q. It's your first time competing in this championship. What are your impressions so far?
KELSEY BENNETT: It's unbelievable. The course is just immaculate. All the girls are really lovely. Everyone that you meet is really nice. And the staff is good too.
Q. You just mentioned the course. You've played two practice rounds. What were your thoughts on the layout?
KELSEY BENNETT: It's good. I like it actually. I feel like it sets up to my game pretty well. So I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow.
Q. What are the key strengths of your game, and how do you feel like that's going to be your advantage out here?
KELSEY BENNETT: Off the tee is definitely one of my strengths, and here being very positional is key off the tee here. Set you up for a good shot into the green for sure.
Q. You've come into this championship from some early successes at the start of the year. Can you talk to us a little bit about those.
KELSEY BENNETT: I managed to win Tasmanian Open in Northern Territory. So I was very happy with that. I was on a bit of a roll, and then COVID hit. But it's definitely good to get out again.
Q. How has COVID impacted your game and your ability to practice and prepare and those sorts of things this year?
KELSEY BENNETT: The biggest thing would be lack of competition, you can only play so many local comps at Mollymook, but it is good. Other than the competition side of it, it hasn't been too bad.
Q. Obviously, we've got some of the world's best golfers here this week and certainly the best from the Asia-Pacific region, so the competition is going to be really strong. Is that an arena you feel like you thrive in?
KELSEY BENNETT: I think so. I'd like to think I do well under pressure, but I am looking forward to actually having that competition and seeing how I go.
Q. Have you set yourself any goals for the week?
KELSEY BENNETT: Biggest goals would be sticking to my processes. There's only so much you can do after that. So stick to my pro shot routine and stick to my putting processes, and that's about it.
