Q. Xiaowen, thank you so much for joining us at the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific. Excited to be here?

XIAOWEN YIN: Yeah, of course.

Q. This is your second time competing in the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific. Why is it a championship that you like competing in?

XIAOWEN YIN: First, I can compete with all good golfers from around the world, and I'm really happy to be here. I'll just enjoy the game. I love it here.

Q. You've played two practice rounds here at Abu Dhabi Golf Club. What did you think of the course?

XIAOWEN YIN: First, the condition of the course is perfect. Also, the greens are tough, I think. Sometimes when I hit long irons, it bounces a lot. The course condition was perfect, and all the fairways and tees were so good.

Q. Being very accurate with your tee shots is important on this golf course. Is that a strength of your game?

XIAOWEN YIN: My drives were sometimes perfect, but sometimes I would miss, maybe one or twice. But I still have confidence with it.

Q. You're No. 7 in the world and the second highest ranked player this week. Do you feel some pressure that you're one of the best players here and that everybody is perhaps looking up to you?

XIAOWEN YIN: Maybe a little pressure, but my mental game was pretty good. I don't think about it much when I play. I just enjoy the game and play my best and do my best.

Q. Have you set yourself any goals for this week?

XIAOWEN YIN: No. I'll just enjoy it.

Q. The champion of this week earns starts in two major championships, the AIG Women's Open and the Evian Championship. Is that something that motivates you to try to win this championship to play in those events?

XIAOWEN YIN: Yes, of course. I really want to be in Evian, yes.

Q. You visited the Grand Mosque yesterday for a photo. Is it nice to be able to see a little bit of Abu Dhabi and not just the golf course?

XIAOWEN YIN: Yeah, I was really happy. I didn't even know I was going there. I thought we were just taking photos around the golf course or in the hotel. It impressed me a lot. The beauty was so amazing.

Q. Talk to us a little bit about your season. You've had a successful year with some wins?

XIAOWEN YIN: I won twice on China LPGA this year, and I won some amateur tournaments in China. I just finished second in LPGA Q-School.

Q. Wow, congratulations on that finish. Obviously having had such great success very recently, do you feel confident for this week?

XIAOWEN YIN: Yes, yes. Maybe confident, I don't know. I'll just do my best. I can't say I have a lot of confidence that I will do really well this week, no. I'll just do my best.
