South Africa 86/4, Bangladesh 84
Q. It's been a very tough competition for you guys. What can you take out from the tournament into the last remaining games?
TASKIN AHMED: Actually we didn't play -- still I believe we didn't play according to our potentials. We are better than that. But unfortunately we lost a few easy games, we're supposed to won that games, but unfortunately it didn't happen.
Q. When three wickets fell in the powerplay, did Bangladesh believe that they could defend that 84 after 31 for 3, and also Bangladesh has been very good in one-day cricket. How has it not been transferred to T20 cricket?
TASKIN AHMED: You know, against that type of batting lineup, 84 is never good enough. Still, we started well, but unfortunately 84, 85 is not good enough against a kind of team like South Africa. Any kind of team below 100 in T20 is not good enough. So we are looking forward to getting some more runs on board.
Yeah, that's true that in ODI we are a better team than the other formats, but still, we have to -- looking forward to improve our T20 and test formats, as well, so we are trying. We are giving our best, so hopefully, inshallah, in the future, we'll overcome.
Q. It was a great opening spell that you bowled during the powerplay; do you feel that's the best that you've bowled in the tournament so far? And secondly, the wicket of Markram just in that over, it was quite clear you were bowling lots of kind of off-cutters into the right hand; the delivery that got him out just kind of held its line. Was that a clear plan from your point of view?
TASKIN AHMED: Actually I tried to stick my basics because in that wicket there was something compared to the other matches. Today off the seam there was some movement, so I tried to stick with my basics and tried to hit the deck harder. That's why later I think I got some movements, as well. That's why some like in-cut and out-swing -- I tried to bowl most of the out-swinger to the right-hander. That's when some of my in-cuts happen. The outward swinger was more difficult to play for the batsmen. That's why I think I got Aiden Markram wicket.
