An Interview with:
Q. How would you evaluate what was a very up-and-down day it looks like?
MARTIN TRUEX JR.: It was a long day. You never quit fighting in these things and all you can do is the best you can do, right? So just kept working on it, kept making adjustments, kept trying to do what we could.
Luckily we were able to get on a lead run there and take a wave run, get us a quick caution and battle from there.
All of the guys did a great job. Bass Pro Toyota Camry was pretty fast. 5th, 6th, 7th where we finished is about as good as we were going to be.
I'd like to see what it would have done without that damage. It was pretty fast before that. Unfortunate the way that deal worked out. We're still in it, still fighting, and looking forward to next weekend.
Q. You go to a track where you've been very good at lately. How do you feel about next week with just three points to make up to get into the top 4?
MARTIN TRUEX JR.: I feel good about that. We're going to have a good starting position now and good pit selection and the place has been good to us. If we can get up there and win a couple stages and battle for the win, I think we will be able to get ourselves in.
We'll wait and see how it goes. You never know how these things can play out. But excited for the opportunity and thankful to everybody their hard work.
