Quick Quotes
Q. Really solid round today, 5-under 67. What were some of your highlights?
XIAOWEN YIN: Last two holes. First drive is pretty good and then the second shot -- the last hole the second shot it was a little to the right but it's still on the green. There is probably like eight yards, seven yards, and I make it. It was a great putt.
And also on No. 17 is probably three yards. Yeah, I make it.
Q. So disappointed to not be going to Q-Series of course, but still a great week. To finish solo second this early this your career, what does that mean to you?
XIAOWEN YIN: First I'm really happy. I really don't think I'm going to play that good this week because, you know, I just arrive at America and like I -- actually on the first day I really like I don't have a lot of confidence, but, yeah, I get back.
And also like what means to me, like keep going, like I can do it now. I can do it like later. It will be like more good, yeah.
Q. Obviously Taneka was on your bag this week. Seemed kind of meant to be. She caddies for Amy Olson; your American name is Amy.
XIAOWEN YIN: Yeah.
Q. How much experience did she bring to your bag this week?
XIAOWEN YIN: Yeah, a lot. I learn a lot. Like she reads pretty good on the green and also like how far we going to hit it to the pin for like maybe windy, when it's windy. She will tell me like how many yards we going to add or like maybe like to hit it low or high.
Yeah, that's good. Yeah.
Q. She's pretty impressed with you. What does it mean to have somebody that caddies on the LPGA regularly think so much of you as a player?
XIAOWEN YIN: My pleasure.
Q. She's really impressed with you. Does that mean anything to you?
XIAOWEN YIN: Yeah, that's my pleasure, and, yeah, I will just keep like working and, yeah, I'll get better.
Q. Ruoning told me you're going to Universal on Monday. How excited are you for that trip?
XIAOWEN YIN: You know, when I arrived here maybe I arrive here about like two weeks for now. I was always stay in the house. Yeah, so I really excited that I can like go out and have fun.
I'm so excited, yeah.
Q. What's the rest of your year look like? What other events are you going to play in?
XIAOWEN YIN: This year?
Q. Yes.
XIAOWEN YIN: I'm going to Dubai to play the Asia Pacific, the amateur golf tournament. Maybe there is -- maybe Invitational amateur tournaments in December I think, Orlando. Yeah, Orlando, yeah.
Q. So what are your plans? Do you plan to turn professional? Are you going to try to go to college? Do you know yet?
XIAOWEN YIN: Yeah, I'm not sure. I was just thinking. I really don't know. I was like choosing.
Q. Seeing somebody like your friend Ruoning play so well at this age, does that make you want to turn professional?
XIAOWEN YIN: Yeah.
Q. Yeah, it does?
XIAOWEN YIN: Yeah, I really want to turn professional, but I think, yeah, I really don't sure.
Like if I turn professional now I think it's too early for me because like I think I'll get little boring like golfing every day.
Yeah, I was just like thinking.
Q. And overall, how would you grade your week? How do you feel about this week as a whole?
XIAOWEN YIN: Perfect. Yeah, probably first day is not really like good, but I still like -- I still think it's, yeah, perfect. This week is perfect, yeah.
