Q. Buster, what was Walker Buehler doing well today?
BUSTER POSEY: I mean, typical, he was attacking the zone. He was using four different pitches, getting them over for strike, expanded when he needed to. And, yeah, just did a good job keeping us off balance.
Q. Anthony, I think you had had 10 days off since your last start. Do you feel like that having that much time off had any sort of impact on you at all?
ANTHONY DESCLAFANI: Not in particular. I had a full season under my belt and felt pretty good, was trying to stay as fresh as I could just through bullpens and stuff like that, but body felt good and all that, so, no, not really.
Q. Buster, you've obviously been part of a lot of must-win games in Giants history. How do you see this team and the way you feel that it will respond in such a situation on Thursday in Game 5?
BUSTER POSEY: Yeah, I mean, I feel like our team and the Dodgers team have both been playing meaningful games for awhile now. Obviously this one coming up on Thursday is the most meaningful to this point and it should be fun.
Q. Anthony, you've been stellar against every other team in this league this season, seemingly, but the Dodgers just seem to have your number. Why do you think that is this year?
ANTHONY DESCLAFANI: They're just putting good at-bats together, have a good game plan. I don't have a particular answer. It's just I just try and stick to my game plan and attack and just, I guess, haven't made enough adjustments.
Q. Buster, with your experience, and one of the things Gabe said is, we're not going to dwell on this game. We're going to immediately look forward. Describe what the next 48 hours will be for you. As much as these two teams know each other, will you stick with it, will you do even more, how do you kind of find that balance?
BUSTER POSEY: Sorry, you said will you stick with it or do what?
Q. Will you stick with what you've always done between games? How much do you have to guard against thinking and doing too much video, that type of stuff?
BUSTER POSEY: Yeah, I mean, we play each other now I guess this will be game 24 on Thursday, so obviously both teams know each other well. A lot of these guys have played against one another for a long time and, I mean, this is why you play, is to get to, really it boils down to competing and execution and it's pretty much as simple as that.
Q. Buster the offense has been a little bit off and on in this series. How would you describe what you guys have been doing at the plate? Is it more a matter of the pitching that you've been seeing or again with kind of a long layoff coming in, did you do you feel like maybe that affected the offense in any way?
BUSTER POSEY: Yeah, I mean, we're facing great pitching. This time of year you're going to face great pitching night-in and night-out. And as much as you can, you're hoping that when you do get some traffic out there, you can get a big hit and, because sometimes those opportunities are limited and hopefully that's something we will be able to do on Thursday.
Q. Buster, what have you seen from Logan this season that makes you confident he'll rise to a pretty big occasion?
BUSTER POSEY: I think his confidence has just continued to grow. I think the stuff has gotten better because he believes that he has elite pitches that can compete with any lineup and I think it's a matter of -- and he's shown, I guess, in the last game of the season, and then in the first game of this series, that he can keep his poise, and I think that bodes well for Thursday.
Q. Buster, you were saying that Logan's confidence continues to grow and grow. When did you really sense along the way that he was kind of, he had taken a grand leap, he had kind of gotten there, so to speak?
BUSTER POSEY: Yeah, I mean, I don't know a specific time, but he had a great spring training. I think he built off of that. And then just each start, he had a great stretch when he came back from a little bit of a shoulder setback and, yeah, I think that's kind of when he seemed to really take off.
Q. Buster, after the Game 2 loss to UrĂas and now he's coming back to start Game 5, you hit him well but most of the team did not. What's the key to getting to him in Game 5 because that's going to be the important part?
BUSTER POSEY: I mean, it's like any other pitcher, when you're facing a big league pitcher you hope when you get a mistake you can get the barrel on it and try to lay off the borderline pitches and he's a great competitor and we're all going to be looking forward to the challenge.
