Q. Obviously you were here early in the season, went back down to Triple A. Since you've been back in August you haven't allowed a run. What's changed since you've been back?
CAMILO DOVAL: Well, basically it's just work, work, work. I didn't have control of my nasty pitches basically and now I'm able to control my fastball and I'm able to place the slider wherever I want and that's about it.
Q. To follow up, what was your reaction when Gabe told you you were going out for a second inning tonight?
CAMILO DOVAL: No translation needed on that one, right? (Laughing.)
Q. Can you please describe what this means to you? I mean you have had some big moments.
CAMILO DOVAL: Well, I'm a man of faith and I just feel that whatever is happening to me right now, it's a miracle, it's God. And when I go out there I just tell myself, whatever is possible, I just leave it in God's hand to be able to do it.
Q. How grateful are you that Gabe Kapler is giving you this opportunity?
CAMILO DOVAL: I feel very proud, very fortunate, and I appreciate the fact that the manager trusts me to pitch in this situation. As a matter of fact, I really enjoy pitching in these type of games.
Q. This opportunity for you, you were just discussing that, what kind of confidence does that give you moving forward?
CAMILO DOVAL: I think the confidence just is something that you earn by doing a great job and that's the way to repay the manager's confidence.
Q. Did you think that last fly ball was going to be a home run and what was your reaction when the ball was hit?
CAMILO DOVAL: Well, I didn't think it was going to be a home run because of the wind and when I saw the ball going that way I kind of thought that the wind is going to knock it down.
Q. I think a year ago you were pitching in Instructional League and now here you are in the postseason. Just have you been able to kind of take a step back and reflect on how far you've come over the last year?
CAMILO DOVAL: I haven't had the opportunity to look back, but then again, I'm the person that I really don't like to look back on what has happened in the past, just look forward and just take advantage of this opportunity and continue progressing and excelling.
