WIMBLEDON, ENGLAND
THE MODERATOR: First question for Alexander, please.
Q. It seemed like a high-quality match, some long points. You both served really well. Can you just talk about it, how you felt.
ALEXANDER POPP: Yeah, I think it was a good match, too. It was pretty close. I had my chances. In the third set, we had a lot of breaks, which is unusual, I think, if you play against Andy Roddick. Yeah, he just sort of made all the important points, I guess. That's why he's No. 2 in the world. He deserved to win. It was close, but if you make the important points on grass, you're the deserved winner.
Q. Henman Hill was pretty loud. The Henman match is going on as you're playing. Are you hearing that as you're playing?
ALEXANDER POPP: No, not really. I'm so concentrated usually, I don't really hear anything about what's going on around. So, no, it's not a problem for me.
Q. Wish you had some of those volleys to do over? You had some breakpoints, just barely missed some volleys.
ALEXANDER POPP: Yeah, as I said, there were a lot of close points. Like in the last service game, I think I had two, three shots that were just about too long maybe one or two centimeters. His match point was on the line, and that's what decides a match sometimes on grass. Yeah, that's the way it goes. There's nothing you can do about it.
