Q. Amy Olson here with a 5-under par 66. No bogeys on the card today. Can you walk us through the round.

AMY OLSEN: Yeah, I started out with a birdie, which is usually a good thing. Just, I mean, I hit the ball pretty solid and I made some really good putts.

Kind of usually what happens when you shoot a few under. But honestly a pretty boring round, to be honest.

Q. I was noticing a long string of pars on the back nine.

AMY OLSEN: Yeah.

Q. Were you simply rolling it well and they weren't going in or did you miss some greens?

AMY OLSEN: Yeah, I'm trying to think. I missed -- so I started on the back nine, so I started on 10. Rolled a birdie in and missed the green on 11. Made a good solid six-footer. That was probably the closest I came to making a bogey all day.

Made some good two-, three-, four-footers because the greens are starting to get bumpy this afternoon. But was just really happy with how I rolled it.

Q. This time of year this golf course is much firmer than we've played it in years past.

AMY OLSEN: Yes, yes.

Q. How much of an adjustment was that for you?

AMY OLSEN: Yeah, honestly I hit a lot of clubs that I'm going, I shouldn't be hitting this club. It's 170-whatever to the flag and I'm hitting 9-iron. I wouldn't be doing that on a normal course.

But they are firm. Fortunately the front of the greens are also firm, so it's a pretty predictable bounce I found, at least for me.

So, yeah, a bit of an adjustment, but just trying to visualize what trajectory the shots are coming in, and then what kind of bounce you're going to get.

Q. 54-hole events you have to get off to fast start. It's more of a sprint than a marathon.

AMY OLSEN: Yeah.

Q. How do you change your mindset for something like that?

AMY OLSEN: Honestly I don't. It's still one hole at a time. There is some reachable par-5s out here so I like to let it rip on those from your tee shot.

But you just kind of got to be patient, because just like every other tournament, you can only hit one shot at a time.
