Quick Quotes
Q. Lovely way to finish your round of 69, long birdie putt at the last.
DANNY WILLETT: We just missed a short one on 8. Just a nice way to end the day. Feel like we got a nice amount out of that round. It's tough out there. This is the most exposed place out of the three golf courses, when the wind blows you have some really tricky shots with a lot of crosswinds. To steal three more, that's really good.
Q. How challenging is it mentally that you know mistakes are going to come at some point?
DANNY WILLETT: You do. Again, the good thing is you also know with the par 5, you're going to get a couple of them downwind, a couple of them into, so there are going to be a couple of chances in there. I think it's nice coming in here, having shot 5-under yesterday. You win ones you can and give yourself a little bit of leeway knowing there are going to be chances throughout the day. It's obviously nice to take them. It's not guaranteed.
But it's a sneaky day out there. I don't know what it's like at other places but for us, this place in the wind was always going to be the trickiest of the three.
Q. How much are you looking forward to a weekend at St Andrews?
DANNY WILLETT: Yeah, I love the golf course. Playing The Open there, it's been fantastic. The pins are very similar year-on-year. So fingers crossed, we've got lucky so far, 36 holes, and another 36 with the wind and no rain.
