Quick Quotes
Q. How pleased with that given the conditions at Carnoustie?
DANIEL GAVINS: Stayed patient, really, today. So it was kind of got off to a good start and had quite a few downwind holes. Back nine was just kind of like hanging on.
Q. Obviously you've heard the reputation, Car-Nasty, as well; did you find that out there today?
DANIEL GAVINS: I don't really know. This is my second time I've played it. It was nice on the back nine, quite a few holes downwind, a few par 5s that you can get on quite easily. It was nice down the back nine and just tried to hold on from there.
Q. Am I right thinking this is your first Dunhill?
DANIEL GAVINS: It is.
Q. How are you enjoying it? Playing three fantastic courses; different to a normal event.
DANIEL GAVINS: It's really nice. Bob Diamond is my partner, so it's been a good laugh so far. A bit cold and windy.
Q. One shot off the lead going into tomorrow. How pleased are you, carrying the momentum from your win two months ago?
DANIEL GAVINS: I've got to try and stay patient, really. I don't know the forecast for tomorrow but if it's the same wind, just stay patient and have fun with my partner.
