Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Andrea Lee who just finished the way everybody wants to finish with an eagle here on No. 18. Tell us about how you played that hole.
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I hit a good drive, and then only had about 205 yards to the hole. Hit a nice 5-wood up there and heard the crowd clapping and cheering, so I knew it would be within maybe eagle range.
Got up there and made the putt, so really glad to finish the way I did today.
Q. How long was the putt there?
ANDREA LEE: About six feet.
Q. Nice.
ANDREA LEE: Yeah.
Q. And overall, a 4-under day, 4-under overall as well. Just a couple strokes off the lead. How are feeling right now?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I'm pumped. I'm super excited for this weekend. I haven't really been in contention at all this year. It's been kind of a rough one, especially in the beginning. It's really nice to see my game trending the way it is. I'm really excited.
Q. Have you been working on anything that spurred this great round or kind of what you've learned from the beginning of the year?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I think just keeping it round by round and staying patient out there. I just had to stick to my game plan and my process and just trust that the work that I was putting in would ultimately help me to succeed out here.
So really glad that it's paying off this week.
Q. You're coming to the end of the extra long rookie year. Has it been what you thought it would be? What are the big take ways from the two-year rookie campaign?
ANDREA LEE: It's been crazy, especially with COVID obviously. You know, last year had a pretty good start I would say to the rookie year. Had a few Top 10s and then had my ups and downs, as any rookie would have, especially the beginning of this year, like I said.
But overall it's been fun. This has been my dream since I was a little kid to be out here competing against the best. It's been a blast.
