Quick Quotes
Q. Here with Katherine Kirk. A long day. You got done, but I want to talk to you about that great moment on No. 12. Tell us about the hole-in-one.
KATHERINE KIRK: It was fun actually because I hit it well, so that's obviously a bonus that it went in. But it was good a number and I put a good swing on it and landed about two feet short right of the hole and released in.
I thought I hit it too hard but obviously it was enough. I was happy to see it go in and not have to putt.
Q. Heard it was from 131 with a wedge.
KATHERINE KIRK: Yeah, 132 plays down 8, so, yeah, just a sweet pitching wedge and it was pure. So, yeah, I'm happy. Sometimes they, yeah, you don't always catch them right and they go in, but when you hit it well it feels extra good.
Q. So this was a well-struck, no-luck-involved hole-in-one. This was a good shot.
KATHERINE KIRK: Probably always a little bit of luck involved. Yeah, but we always need it in this game. We need good bounces and, yeah, putts to drop in as opposed to lip out, so I'll take it.
Q. On top of that, $20,000 to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. What does that meant to you to know that you're giving back as well?
KATHERINE KIRK: Yeah, that's the highlight of the day right there. Obviously they do great things at that hospital and heart goes out to those kids and their families. Yeah, the heros are the doctors and the work they're doing.
Happy to pitch in and nice to see, I guess it's CME that contributes that. So thanks to CME Group for doing that, because that's pretty awesome.
Q. Finally you're around for the weekend definitely, but this is a beast of a course.
KATHERINE KIRK: Yeah, took us five hours and 50 minutes to play, so hopefully play a little faster tomorrow. Yeah, it's a gorgeous golf course, but, yeah, lots of hills and nothing is else out there.
So it's just going to take a little while to play.
