Q. Here with Haley Moore who just shot a nice round of 71. Great way to start the tournament, and a birdie is always a great way to finish the rounds. How are you feeling right now?

HALEY MOORE: I felt pretty good out there all along. I mean, from seeing this course with three practice rounds it's definitely not easy and you definitely have to find your way around this golf course.

I mean, physically it's a grind of a walk, but you just got to just keep mentally telling yourself to hang in there, keep walking, and just keep strumming along the fairway.

Everything was good today, so going to just keep what I had today into tomorrow.

Q. We had someone joke yesterday that you don't need a leg workout at all this week with this golf course. What's the challenge of the mental game certainly, but also the physical challenge that this golf course presents?

HALEY MOORE: Yeah, I would think mentally it's just -- I mean, some of these greens are very tricky. They can be faster than they look and the way they break is totally different, so if you just happen to misread it and doesn't go your way, just got to move on and just think, okay, I've got a lot more birdieable chances to do, and then if not, just keep making pars and something will fall eventually.

Yeah, physically you get a workout this week. You just got make sure just rest up your body and everything. I'll have the whole afternoon to rest up and get ready for tomorrow.

Q. Does it help playing alongside Paula who had such a good round as well? Do you ride off each other or were you playing your own game today?

HALEY MOORE: A little riding off, but playing our own game. I mean, she played absolutely lights out. She had a lot of the great shots. Had a great chip-in on one hole from -- it was actually really fast. It was coming pretty fast, too.

I was like -- because I chipped in the practice round and I was like, Whoa, this is going to be a -- this will be quite a fast little chip.

But, yeah, she played great, and I think just kind of seeing her, how these greens roll, really did help to try to judge the speed of everything out there.

Q. And this is an absolutely spectacular view of a golf course. You played the Symetra Tour event in Idaho recently. What's it like being out here on the western side of country and seeing these views we don't normally see over out east?

HALEY MOORE: It's pretty cool. To have pretty much my back to back tournaments in a row of having good views is just pretty awesome. I mean, I've been to Oregon before but more in the city, so like I never kind of been out here with all these views. I'm just like, wow, it's just so amazing.

It's just nice to see nice trees and green instead of desert and it being super hot. Like it's also great that it's a lot cooler this week, because I've been in some hot weather the last couple weeks when I was home and I was like, Ahhh.

I need to take a break from the heat and just come out here and enjoy it.
