Q. What were you feeling on the front nine?

MEGAN KHANG: Yeah, you got to the first tee at the Solheim Cup and your adrenaline is just going. It's amazing being on home soil and you have the crowd behind you, so I was just super pumped to get started.

And I knew it was going to be a great match playing against Sophia, so we knew we had some work to do, especially coming into the day, we knew we were two points behind, so just wanted to try and do my part and kind of got a point up and hopefully see what happens.

Q. On the first tee throughout the whole day, how were you enjoying the big crowds that you don't actually get to see that often, especially during these times?

MEGAN KHANG: Honestly, this is huge. This is what golf should be like every tournament. It's such a great golf event, and we as players love it. It's always an honor to represent your country.

I mean, it's just once every two years, so you don't get this very often, and it's an honor to be on this team, and you may never get another one, so you've just got to cherish the moment and enjoy every second of it.

Q. You were dormie really early on, but then Sophia was good for a couple holes. Did you say something to yourself maybe coming down the last hole where you won?

MEGAN KHANG: You know, I mean, being dormie into 13, I knew that, hey, you've got to expect her to -- she's not going to go down without a fight, and she sure did not.

She hit a great shot on 13 out of the bunker. That was probably the best -- almost the best she could have done other than holing out. I had a feeling she was going to make it.

I was ready to go a few more holes. Went a few more than I wanted to, but ended up getting the job done, and she put up a good fight.
