September 5, 1993
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK
Q. Did you feel like you were playing a ghost?
CEDRIC PIOLINE: Not really. I mean, I think he is not playing like five years ago or six years ago, but he played not so bad and got a lot of experience, but like he didn't play too many matches. At the important moment he is making some mistakes, but it is not like a ghost.
Q. Apart from making errors in important moments, was there anything else that you felt was a sign of his not playing for a long time; any other aspect of his game, or his --
CEDRIC PIOLINE: Yeah, at the beginning he was a little bit nervous. He made some easy mistake and so he then take the ball too early, you know, when he get some occasion to come in, so I thought he was a little bit nervous; not comfortable.
Q. What do you feel about your chances at this event at this point?
CEDRIC PIOLINE: I mean, I don't know, the fourth round I think I am going to play Courier, Courier/MaliVai, never-- I never beat him. It is a good match for me. In the big tournament, I do my best and I play well and I can play a little bit better, so maybe it can be close.
Q. Thank you.
