Quick Quotes
Q. Because of the way your team performed this morning, how concerned were you when it was a sea of blue early?
PAT HURST: I mean, it was quiet this morning. Out there starting out there was a lot of blue on the board, but it's all about the ending, and I saw a lot of red at the end, so that was what we wanted.
Q. I know you believed in your team, that they could do what they did. How did you convince them to believe in themselves?
PAT HURST: I just came back last night and told them, look, it could have went either way. There was four matches that went to 18 yesterday morning; it could have went either way.
Tomorrow may be our day. Let's keep the momentum going from the afternoon matches, and that's what they did.
Q. Thought process on sitting Nelly for the afternoon?
PAT HURST: Yeah, just to give her a little more time to rest. I mean, we wanted her out. We think she's a great alternate-shot partner, or foursome partner, so that's why we wanted to play her in the morning.
Q. What was your game plan going out in the afternoon, the two rookies leading off?
PAT HURST: Yeah, just get them out first, see how they do. I think they're ready to go, they want to play, so put them out the very first match and let them play.
Q. It's just a one-point ballgame. How excited are you right now?
PAT HURST: Totally. I mean, you can't get any better than this. This is so much fun. It was the same thing yesterday where it could have went either way, and that's what happened today. This is so much fun. This is what Solheim Cup is all about.
