Quick Quotes
Q. Emily, you and Caley have managed to get a half point for team GB&I this morning. How did you feel it went this morning?
EMILY TOY: It was good. We probably didn't feel as good as yesterday morning. We just kept it together, holed quite a nice few putts, which kind of kept the momentum going. We could see the scoreboard on the way around, and we just made an effort to try to get something on the scoreboard.
Q. It seemed like a real battle. You were up some points. You were down. Obviously, it finished all square. What was the general feeling at the end of that?
EMILY TOY: I think it was a fair result, to be honest. Like you said, it was up and down all the way. Obviously, we didn't play the last as well as we could have, but I think overall it was probably a fair result for both teams.
Q. I take it you all expected some American fight back. It was a good day for you yesterday. They came back at you this morning with 2 1/2 points. Still a lot to play for going into this afternoon.
EMILY TOY: Yes, definitely. We knew they were going to come out firing. After yesterday morning, they obviously wanted to get some points off of us. We kind of knew that was coming. Obviously, we're happy to get that half a point and keep that half point ahead overall.
Q. You holed some big putts today. I think there was one from off the green as well.
EMILY TOY: Yeah, I can't remember what hole it was, par-3 10 -- no, that's not it. I don't know what hole it was. Anyway, we got 1-down, and then again putts like that just keep the momentum going, and we ended up winning the next hole as well. So it's cumulative. So, yeah, it was important to make that putt and take that momentum for the last five, six holes there.
