THE MODERATOR: Delighted to welcome the 2021 U.S. Women's Open Champion, Yuka Sato to the interview room.

YUKA SASO: Thank you.

THE MODERATOR: This is going to be your debut in the AIG Women's Open this week. How much are you looking forward to that?

YUKA SASO: Obviously major tournaments are very special for me, and you know, this hope of golf tournament will be very challenging. I'm really looking forward to it.

Q. What are your first impressions of Carnoustie?

YUKA SASO: Difficult.

Q. What is it about the course that's difficult? Is it the links conditions that you're not used to normally?

YUKA SASO: First, obviously the golf course is very beautiful. A lot of bunkers. Very windy. And how do you call that, the water?

Q. The coastline?

YUKA SASO: That was really pretty, and I think it will be a really difficult golf course, yeah.

Q. How much are you looking forward to the week overall? Your first time in Scotland, is it?

YUKA SASO: Yes, first time in Scotland, and this is summer here and we're wearing a jacket. So I really like the weather. Yeah, it's really nice, and I've met a lot of people and people gave me a few advice about the links course, and I think it will be really fun.
