Quick Quotes
Q. Eight birdies, tied second, great way to finish the week. Can you summarise today?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Well, I putt pretty well today and hit a pretty solid round today. 6-under, but at least it's not enough for the win, but I just know that I tried my best and I'm proud of myself already.
Q. And what can you take way from this week? What's been your favourite thing about the course and this week in general?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: So unbelievable to me, I'm not a big fan of links, but I can shoot under par every day, so for me, this was -- hit the fairway, I like the fairways here.
Q. How do you like the atmosphere with the Thai golfers and Trust Golf, the new Thai sponsor, how does that feel?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: It feel amazing and it feels good for us to have a lot of Thai players here, and then sponsor from Thailand, as well. We can see all the Thai people around here, and I feel really good.
Q. After such a great finish this week, what would you say is your goal for the season?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I will say I just feel good. My focus for this year, trying to improve myself every day and then trying to get the card, member card on LPGA.
Q. Just getting into contention the way you started this round, and I know that you're obviously seeking your first LPGA win, how did you feel in that position? It's obviously a great start to the round today.
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Yeah, today like I know that like in the front nine, played really well, really good and then at the moment, I just go out and then just told myself, I do my best. Not a bad back nine for sure. I know that I try my best and then, yeah, it's not my day yet. Maybe it will come soon.
Q. And you've had a really great year, so heading into next week after a high finish in an LPGA/LET event, how do you feel about your chances and what are you looking to achieve next week?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I can't say anything about it, next week, because the course is tough as well. Like I said, I'm not a big fan of link, so I have to look at the weather and the course everything and like that and we'll see how it's going.
Q. Maybe links golf is winning you over this week? Are you beginning to like it a little bit pore?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Yeah, of course, just a little bit more, not that much for sure, because you know, like links is tough for sure. Links is tough.
Q. What do you think is the toughest thing about it? Is it just adapting every single day in the different weather?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Today?
Q. In general. What's your least-favourite thing about links?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I think the course for sure, like the pot bunker. I hate it. You know, like if you going through them, them you have to like get the wedge and just go up first and then you can't go into the green. You can't go into the green.
Q. Having had such a great year, into the final major of the year next week, you have been very, very consistent. You'll be looking for a high finish, regardless of the links.
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Of course, of course, definitely, because you know like finish in the top, I would dream -- not dream, but it's our goal, and like in every tournament, but we have to see how things are going, how the course, and how I play, as well.
Q. And lastly, so many Thai golfers doing so well; why? Why are so many Thai golfers so good?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: Well, I will say all the Thai players that's in LPGA right now, they are such an inspiration for us, for me as well, for the young generation to represent our country, to playing well, and to be able to play for our country and for Thai people, and then, yeah, after get that, see a lot of Thai people catch up and in the top of the world of golf.
Q. Do you think it's one of the most popular sports in Thailand now?
ATTHAYA THITIKUL: I don't think so for now, but I think it's coming. Golf is coming for now in Thailand.
