Quick Quotes
Q. 8-under for the day, that's a fantastic score. First of all, how happy are you to get the course record in such emphatic style?
MANON DE ROEY: Yeah, sunk into me the way I finished 18. Yeah, I'm very pleased with the day. It was windier than the other days so I took advantage of it a little bit. Everything worked out. I holed a lot of putts and hit it quite close.
Q. You were steady for the other three rounds but this is a real step up. Was it conditions and getting to know the course?
MANON DE ROEY: I think it's both. I think conditions were a lot better than the first three days, but getting to know the course and the bounces and like the hills and stuff, it really helped.
Q. Hopefully you've quadrupled your earnings in one round, how does that feel?
MANON DE ROEY: My goal was to just move up the leaderboard today, so I think I did a pretty good job on that. I don't know where I finished, but yeah, I just wanted to go out there and make as many birdies as possible and take advantage of the good weather.
Q. Fantastic run of birdies, five in a row on the back nine.
MANON DE ROEY: Yeah, that was great. I holed a really long putt on 13, the par 5. I was just over the green with my second shot and I had an impossible ship. I left it short and I made like a 20-meter putt or something for birdie, so that helped a lot. But the other ones I hit pretty close.
Q. Do you hold a course record anywhere else?
MANON DE ROEY: I played 8-under on a couple courses but I don't have the record.
Q. How important was it to end the competition with such a great score, giving you confidence for the rest of the season?
MANON DE ROEY: Yeah, exactly, I was in Tokyo last week, my coach was there and I built some confidence in Tokyo and this week, finishing the tournament with 8-under, gives me a lot of confidence going into the British Open. I'm excited.
