Quick Quotes
Q. Thoughts on the day?
RYANN O'TOOLE: No complaints. There's always something to find but for the most part I'm very happy with my play.
Q. Managing those conditions and getting through those difficult parts of the course, is that key?
RYANN O'TOOLE: Yeah, there's definitely a few holes that you have to play smart, play several conservatively. I feel like when the wind is up or coming off from the side, play conservative. The course has -- the lay of the land, you can use to your advantage. I think playing smart into some of those key holes is where you have to focus in on.
Q. Joint lead, an achievement in itself.
RYANN O'TOOLE: Yeah, today I just tried to do what I could to keep getting shots up on the leaders. Going into tomorrow, tied for the lead, I think I should just keep the same momentum and same thought process and see what happens.
Q. In the final group, and just thinking about trying to get that win?
RYANN O'TOOLE: Of course, I definitely want that win. I think I stick to my game plan, one shot at a time, picking smart targets, not too aggressive lines and a few putts to drop. I struggled all week with the speeds. You get some downhill putts that don't play as downhill as you think or you get some that run away from you and the uphillers, you definitely have to hit.
If I can get a couple more to drop tomorrow, maybe I can be happy with the round.
Q. Do you have a score in mind that's going to win this tournament?
RYANN O'TOOLE: To be honest, I don't. With the conditions, you never know what you're going to get. I did look at the forecast. There should be some wind again tomorrow, not as heavy as we've had, so I assume the scores will go low tomorrow. That being said, I just think may aggressive when needed and play conservative on the others.
Q. Can I ask you about your eagle on 15?
RYANN O'TOOLE: I had just been playing 15, take the drive down just that center left side. Today with the wind direction, it was helping a bit more versus left-to-right, so I was able to bite off more on the corner. The back pins, that's the risk is that if you come in on that left side, you have a short club in but it's a hard position to hold that green up top.
I put myself in a good spot. I had an uphill lie with pitching wedge in and was able to hold the green nicely and make the 9-footer.
