Quick Quotes
Q. Plus 9 on the day, plus 34. One more round to go. Tell me how today went.
ANDREW PUTNAM: Yeah, I played really well today. Had it going for most of the day. Just one bad swing that was unfortunate, cost me three points. But other than that, held it together pretty good. I wasn't feeling 100 percent. It's kind of hard playing in the smoke. You get a little headache and you're just a little bit out of it. Overall I'm happy with how I played.
Q. It was the first time you had a mark on your scorecard this week; other than that you were bogey-free. Walk me through No. 16.
ANDREW PUTNAM: I'm going to try to forget it as soon as I can. But yeah, obviously didn't have any bogeys up until then. I was playing pretty perfect golf. Yeah, just a tough cross wind, just kind of came out of it and was in a bush, and from there it was kind of tough to make a bogey. But all in all, have a good chance tomorrow.
Q. You've been in this position before, especially at this tournament. What's the mindset heading into tomorrow's final round?
ANDREW PUTNAM: I mean, you've got to make birdies and try to give yourself an eagle chance here and there. You know there's going to be a lot of points scored, so you've got to keep the pressure. I think last time I might have had a little comfortable lead, so this time obviously I'll be chasing somebody to make some birdies.
Q. And 300 FedExCup points on the line and 104 now in the standings. How important is it to put yourself in a good standing?
ANDREW PUTNAM: Yeah, obviously winning changes your life. Realized that the first time, so I kind of know what's at stake coming into the final round.
