Quick Quotes
Q. How would you sum up the week, takeaways or highlights of the week?
HELEN ALFREDSSON: Well, I wasn't coming here with a good game and I was not -- are we talking about everything?
Q. Uh-huh.
HELEN ALFREDSSON: I mean, obviously it's a beautiful place and we are super lucky to be here and to play this time in our lives in such a beautiful golf course, something competitive to look forward to.
I wish I would've in my own case come in with a little bit better game and had a little bit more time between surgery and the tournament, but that's how it is.
I still have my trophy.
Q. When did you have surgery?
HELEN ALFREDSSON: I had it in the end of last year, so that was six, seven month that I didn't really get to touch a club.
Q. What's next for you?
HELEN ALFREDSSON: I think -- well I'm just going to play French Lick and that's it.
Q. What were just your impressions of Annika?
HELEN ALFREDSSON: Well, I mean, the way she played, just this course fits her. You know, she is not a super long hitter and she's straight. You know, I mean, that's what you see with the players.
Even if they have time off, they just get a little bit of practice, and obviously she was a good player when she quit. You bring it back and she's fit, so it's -- you know, it's -- that's the biggest difference, I think. You stay strong, your body stays strong when you get older.
Q. Did you expect her to come back and play in this championship?
HELEN ALFREDSSON: Not particularly, no. But she has her reasons, and none of us never know what it is.
Q. How would you clarify overall defending your championship?
HELEN ALFREDSSON: No, I mean, the course is beautiful. I always love to play on this side in Connecticut or New York or when we have tournaments here. It's awesome, and we were lucky with the weather. The course is beautiful, yeah.
Q. Great crowds, too.
HELEN ALFREDSSON: Yeah, I know. So nice.
