Quick Quotes
THE MODERATOR: Could you just sum up the week for us, the fans out here and Brooklawn as a host.
LAURA DAVIES: Yeah, cracking week. Course was great. The greens were tough but fair. Pin positions today in the final round were I think the toughest they've been, which is probably what it should be, and a great champion in Annika, so she's won by a fair old way.
Q. Eight-stroke victory. Does that surprise you she dominated this much today?
LAURA DAVIES: Not after day one, no. I thought after day one, I thought she would win. I thought she looked like the Annika of old, and she's proven it. She had a bit of a stumble yesterday, but today pretty solid round.
I think she shot -- did she birdie the last? Maybe she's another 3- or 4-under today. Yeah, after day one I knew we were all in trouble.
Q. Was yesterday the day to try to get her when she shoots even par?
LAURA DAVIES: Well, 'Lotte did. She got within two, so that was close enough if good enough. But 'Lotte has obviously not had her best day today and Annika has gone and done the business, so, yeah.
I played my out of it the second round. I putted my way out of it. It was awful.
Q. They were actually tied for like two minutes.
LAURA DAVIES: So 'Lotte did all she could do but then Annika proved how strong she is.
Q. Coming into today, what kind of mindset did you have? Did you feel like there was a way to catch Annika?
LAURA DAVIES: I thought she had to play badly and I didn't think she would play badly, so no, probably not. If I'd have -- I was 3-under at the turn.
If I would have maybe birdied two more, 5-under, got to 7, and at the time she was only on 9, then, yeah, I would have got a bit interested. But I made that stupid bogey on 8 and duffed that wedge on 10, and that was pretty much me.
I never thought I could win it if I am honest, because I thought she would be solid enough to carry it through, and obviously she did.
