Quick Quotes

Q. You had a great finish today, 7-under par.

PERNILLA LINDBERG: I did, yes. I mean, I know I talked to you two days ago, and since then everything has pretty much kept going the same except for my last six holes yesterday. Just, I don't know what happened, I just got out of whack, lost two drives coming in, and lost two drives to the right and had two three-putts in between, and the shots just ran away from me. I was so disappointed because I had such a nice round going yesterday again.

So it was nice to come out today, forget about that finish yesterday and just finish off on a good note and kind of the game that I showed in round 2 in the first 11 holes yesterday.

Q. You had birdies at 1 and 2 right off the gate and then 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 18. Can you start with the first couple that got you going?

PERNILLA LINDBERG: Yeah, I birdied No. 1 all three days we played this course. It feels like a nice start. It's a short par-5 so it's one you want to take advantage of. 2, short par-4, it's the same thing. And 3, I actually didn't make birdie today, but I feel like I've come out and made lots of birdies on those three holes in the first few rounds, and that's nice to kind of get the round going because then we have a few tougher holes in a little stretch. Made it through 6 today without a bogey for the first day, so that was nice.

And then on 8 and 9, just -- on 9 I actually had a really good look for eagle. I hit two good shots to get there today. 8 was a wedge from the fairway. I felt like I took advantage of the par-5s, and whenever I've had a wedge in my hand, I've converted and made birdies all week, so that's kind of where I've made most of my birdies all week I feel like that way.

Q. You birdied three of the par-5s today. How big of an event is a finish like this to -- you're looking at potentially your first top 10 since Marathon last year, you've missed a few cuts coming into this event, probably not the year you've wanted so far, but how much can this boost you?

PERNILLA LINDBERG: Yeah, this is what I've been waiting for for months now. As golfers we keep telling ourselves, okay, just keep sticking to the process and good things are going to happen. I've really said that so many times over these last couple months, and I've just felt like, okay, I just need to turn things around and have that one good week, and I feel like things can kind of open up from there. I feel like I've finally had that week, and hopefully I can just keep building from that.

No, it does kind of take -- after you miss a lot of cuts you just feel like you have a kind of lot of bad momentum, so it's nice to turn that around for sure.

Q. What does the process look like for you when you say -- you've really said that a lot. What does that look like?

PERNILLA LINDBERG: Yeah, so I've worked hard on all aspects of the game, but really coming into this season I knew my irons have always been where I can improve the most, and then I came out this year and felt like I was hitting the irons the best I ever have, and suddenly I wasn't putting as well as I normally do, which has always been my strength.

So sticking to my process means believing in the work that I'm doing, meaning the weaker areas, and just having the belief that my strengths are going to come back to me and be able to put it all together, and that's what finally this week -- I'm still kind of bummed about my first nine holes at Massereene on Thursday and my back nine here yesterday, but besides that, everything has been so positive, so that's what I will take with me.

Q. You seemed really close to putting it together, an all-four-day kind of event.

PERNILLA LINDBERG: Exactly, and that's what for sure has not been happening this year, so lots of positives.

Q. What's your schedule look like coming up next week, Scottish, British?

PERNILLA LINDBERG: No, I'm actually not playing Scottish but I am playing British, so two weeks off to see family, both my family and Daniel's family. We haven't seen our families in over a year and a half.

Q. Do you remember when --

PERNILLA LINDBERG: So I saw my family -- we both saw our families Christmas of 2019, but I haven't seen Daniel's family since British 2019 and he hasn't seen my family since British 2019. So that's coming up on two years that we haven't seen in-laws and over a year and a half since we have seen our parents. So two weeks now spending time with family and then British after that.

Q. And Sweden?

PERNILLA LINDBERG: Yeah, Sweden and England. So looking forward to that.
