Quick Quotes
Q. Kris Tschetter, even par today. More of an up and down round. Are you proud of how you played?
KRIS TSCHETTER: Well, I did not play well on the first however many holes that was; was struggling on the greens. Then kind of got it going and went birdie, birdie, birdie, eagle, so that was great. And then had chances on the last few holes.
Q. Let's talk about that stretch, 5-under in five holes it looks like. What was working well?
KRIS TSCHETTER: Just I made the putts. (Laughter.) For a change.
But I had some chances that I just didn't capitalize on and then hit a couple shots that just cost me.
You know sometimes that happens at a U.S. Open where you make one mistake, you make another, and next thing you know you got double or triple.
So I just tried to stay patient and just didn't give up out there and got it going again.
Q. In contention heading into a weekend of a major. Put that into words.
KRIS TSCHETTER: I was so busy out there that I hadn't looked a the a board until, now so I'm pleasantly surprised that nobody made a big move today. I don't feel quite as bad. (Laughter.)
Q. Best of luck tomorrow.
KRIS TSCHETTER: Thank you.
